Sibling Distillery Art in the City

Saturday 20th July

Sibling Distillery Art in the City takes place on Saturday 20th July and showcases work by various artists who have been influenced by the local culture, history and heritage of Gloucester City. 

 

Plein Air Competition (Outdoor Painting)

Plein Air Competition is where artists will have just one day to complete pieces that capture the spirit of the city. Whether it's iconic landmarks such as the magnificent Gloucester Cathedral, the picturesque Victorian Docks, or street scenes of everyday life, artists will be competing in this exciting event for all to see.

The finished pieces will be displayed in an exhibition with judges awarding prizes to the best work for each category. Contestants' artwork will be judged by the panel on the evening of Saturday 20th July 2019.

Runner Up £500

Student (Under 18) £250

Register below and/or come along to the Registration Hub at St Mary De Crypt on Saturday 20th July, between 9am - 11am.

Open Art Competition

Artists are invited to submit their best work to the Open Art Competition in the beautiful and historic Gloucester Cathedral. There will be two selections, the first will consist of 250 pieces which the final 100 will be chosen from, to be hung in our exhibit. In the final exhibition on 13th August - 5th September, reputable artists will judge the work and award:

ARTicle 25 Project

A group installation artwork representing the 4000 families in temporary accommodation this year in Gloucester and an exhibition of the work produced by the various groups to be shown during Art in the City at Eastgate Shopping Centre. For more info on this project, click here
